Private Microblogging for Teachers and Students

Edmodo is a private microblogging platform that teachers and students can use to send notes, links, files, alerts, assignments, and events to each other. Teachers sign up for accounts, and then create classes/groups. Each class/group has a unique code which is distributed by the teacher to the class. Students then sign up (no email address required) and join the group using the code. Here's a quick video tour of Edmodo...

What's it like to be a Edmodo student... go to http://www.edmodo.com/ and click on student. Here's the code for my Immunology Class - vlw766

I like Edmodo very much... easy to setup and use for all stakeholders. I will be using it as a supplement to my edu2.0 and Ning classes. It has great potential in education and business. I'm interested in your comments and opinions? Ciao, Bill...
